HOLIDAY RECIPE BLOG HOP NOVEMBER 14 ~ 18
Hello everyone! It’s Diane from Diane and Dean with this week’s Your Inspired Design #62. It’s not quite snowing here in Florida but we were down in the 50’s this morning and we are LOVING it!
It’s one week from Thanksgiving yet there is a whole lot of Christmas filling the “blogosphere”. Are you feeling it? We aren’t yet decking the halls here but the ideas are certainly flowing. Don’t you love this time of the year?
Before we jump ahead to Santa Clause and sleigh ride season, can we just pause a moment and relish in the moment of Thanksgiving?
Thank you and your’e welcome!
Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude, something we should have every day of our lives for all things great and for all things small. Wouldn’t you agree that it is easy to get so busy this time of the year that we make less time to think about everything we are truly grateful for?
In the United States, the Thanksgiving holiday was traced back to 1621 when the Pilgrims celebrated good harvest. According to Wikipedia, President George Washington, proclaimed the very 1st nationwide Thanksgiving celebration in America, November 26, 1789 “as a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God”.
“In every thing, give thanks”. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
By the way, if you have never started a[affiliate link] Grateful Journal to write down what you are thankful for on a daily basis, this is the perfect time of the year to consider it. You will be glad you did and you will be amazed how it can change your life in a positive way.
So, now with the holidays approaching very fast we wanted you to have some ideas from Your Inspired Design. Once again we are sharing more great inspirational projects that you can easily make for the holidays. Be sure to click on the link to learn more from each blogger. Enjoy!
